Get to Know Jesus Personally

This is the most important page on this site.

The message here is for anyone who wants to know God for real. It does not matter your background, your age, your mistakes, your religion, your past, or what you have been through. God loves you, created you, and wants you to know Him personally.

This is not about being perfect.

This is not about pretending you have it all together.

This is about coming to God honestly and receiving the life He offers through Jesus Christ.

1. God Loves You and Has a Plan for Your Life

God loves you and created you to know Him personally. You were not created by accident. You were made with purpose, value, and a soul that matters to God.

The Bible says:

“For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16

God’s plan is not for you to live separated from Him. His plan is for you to know Him, walk with Him, receive His love, and experience eternal life through Jesus Christ.

Jesus said:

“Now this is eternal life: that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom You have sent.” John 17:3

Knowing God is not just religion. It is relationship.

2. People Are Sinful and Separated From God

People are sinful and separated from God, so we cannot know Him personally or experience His love fully without being restored to Him.

The Bible says:

“All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” Romans 3:23

Sin is not just doing bad things. Sin is living apart from God, choosing our own way, and being separated from His holiness. Because of our stubborn self-will, we often choose independence from God instead of fellowship with Him.

That self-will can show up as active rebellion or quiet indifference. Either way, it reveals what the Bible calls sin.

The Bible also says:

“For the wages of sin is death.” Romans 6:23

That means spiritual separation from God.

God is holy. People are sinful. There is a gap between us and God that we cannot cross by our own efforts. Good works, religion, success, philosophy, money, popularity, or trying to be a “good person” cannot bridge that gap.

We need God to make a way.

3. Jesus Christ Is God’s Only Way Back to Him

Jesus Christ is God’s only provision for man’s sin. Through Him alone, we can know God personally and experience His love and plan.

Jesus died in our place.

The Bible says:

“But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:8

Jesus did not wait for us to become perfect. He came because we were lost, broken, sinful, and unable to save ourselves.

He rose from the dead.

The Bible says:

“Christ died for our sins… He was buried… He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures… He appeared to Peter, then to the Twelve. After that, He appeared to more than five hundred…” 1 Corinthians 15:3-6

Jesus did not only die. He rose again. That means His sacrifice was accepted, death was defeated, and salvation is available.

Jesus is the only way to God.

Jesus said:

“I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but through Me.” John 14:6

God bridged the gap that separated us from Him by sending His Son, Jesus Christ, to die on the cross in our place and pay the penalty for our sins.

The cross is the bridge.

Jesus is the way back to God.

4. We Must Personally Receive Jesus Christ

It is not enough to just know these truths.

We must individually receive Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. Then we can know God personally and experience His love and plan for us.

The Bible says:

“Yet to all who received Him, to those who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God.” John 1:12

We receive Christ through faith.

The Bible says:

“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith, and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God, not by works, so that no one can boast.” Ephesians 2:8-9

Salvation is not earned. It is received.

You do not get saved because you are good enough. You get saved because Jesus is good enough.

We receive Christ by personal invitation.

Jesus said:

“Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with Me.” Revelation 3:20

Receiving Christ means turning to God from self, which is repentance, and trusting Jesus to come into your life, forgive your sins, and make you what He wants you to be.

It is not enough to agree in your mind that Jesus is the Son of God.

It is not enough to have an emotional experience.

You receive Jesus Christ by faith, as an act of your will.

Two Kinds of Lives

A life without Jesus puts self at the center. Christ is outside. Choices and interests are controlled by self, which often leads to confusion, guilt, frustration, emptiness, and distance from God.

A life with Jesus puts Christ at the center. Self is surrendered to Him. The person trusts God, follows Him, and begins to see their life shaped by His purpose, peace, correction, and love.

The question is simple:

Which life do you want?

Do you want to receive Jesus Christ right now?

You Can Receive Jesus Right Now by Faith Through Prayer

God knows your heart. He is not as concerned with fancy words as He is with honesty.

Prayer is simply talking with God.

If this prayer expresses the desire of your heart, you can pray it right now and Christ will come into your life, as He promised.

Sinner’s Prayer

Lord Jesus, I want to know You personally.

Thank You for dying on the cross for my sins.

I open the door of my life and receive You as my Savior and Lord.

Thank You for forgiving me of my sins and giving me eternal life.

Make me the kind of person You want me to be.

Amen.

Did this prayer express the desire of your heart?

If it did, you can trust that Christ has come into your life, just as He promised.

Did You Receive Christ Into Your Life?

According to His promise in Revelation 3:20, where is Christ right now in relation to you?

Jesus said He would come into your life.

Would He mislead you?

No.

You can know He has answered your prayer because of the trustworthiness of God Himself and His Word.

Do Not Depend on Feelings

The promise of God’s Word, the Bible, is your authority, not your feelings.

Feelings change.

God’s Word does not.

The Christian lives by faith in the character of God Himself and His Word.

Think of a train: the engine is fact, the coal car is faith, and the caboose is feeling.

The train can run with or without the caboose. But it would be useless to try to pull the train by the caboose.

In the same way, Christians do not depend on feelings or emotions. We place our faith in the character of God and the promises of His Word.

What Happened When You Received Christ?

The moment you received Christ by faith, as an act of your will, many things happened, including these:

Christ came into your life. Revelation 3:20 and Colossians 1:27

Your sins were forgiven. Colossians 1:14

You became a child of God. John 1:12

You received eternal life. John 5:24

You began the great adventure for which God created you. John 10:10, 2 Corinthians 5:17, and 1 Thessalonians 5:18

Can you think of anything more wonderful than entering into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ?

Thank God in prayer right now for what He has done for you.

By thanking God, you demonstrate your faith.

What Comes Next?

To enjoy your new relationship with God, you need to grow.

Spiritual growth comes from trusting Jesus Christ. The Bible says:

“The righteous will live by faith.” Galatians 3:11

A life of faith will help you trust God more and more with every detail of your life.

Here are simple ways to grow:

Go to God in prayer daily.

Read God’s Word daily. Start with the Gospel of John.

Obey God moment by moment.

Witness for Christ by your life and your words.

Trust God for every detail of your life.

Allow the Holy Spirit to control and empower your daily life and witness.

Fellowship in a Good Church

Several logs burn brightly together, but when one is placed on the cold hearth alone, the fire goes out.

That is what can happen when a Christian tries to walk alone.

If you do not belong to a church, do not wait to be invited. Take the initiative. Call or visit a nearby church where Christ is honored and the Bible is preached.

Start this week.

Make plans to attend regularly.

Remember

Your walk with Christ depends on what you allow Him to do in and through you by the power of the Holy Spirit, not what you try to do for Him through self-effort.

God is not asking you to become perfect overnight.

He is inviting you to walk with Him, trust Him, learn from Him, and grow.

You came to this page for a reason.

If you prayed that prayer and meant it, welcome home.

You have taken the most important step of your life.

The war is real.

The choice is real.

Jesus is real.

And He is calling you personally.
